Stinson 2025 Rosé of Tannat
Best known as a deeply colored, tannic variety, Tannat makes a delicate and fruity rosé when pressed immediately off its skins. The light color belies a rich, brambly palate with vibrant acidity.
Soft cheeses, grilled seafood, and pizza.
This rosé boasts a richer body than typical rosés due to the Tannat, but maintains its elevated acidity to keep it balanced and open to a wide range of pairing options.
It’s going to be great for an appetizer selection, especially soft, creamy cheeses and grilled shrimp. But its fuller body means it could also play a role in the main course as well. Rosé can be a great option for outdoor gatherings, so think of this bottle for your next BBQ, especially when fish or poultry are on the menu.
STANDOUT FEATURES: Crisp acidity, rich body, red fruit flavors.
Anything too rich, especially thick sauces, might start to overpower this wine.

A lot of the flavors of this wine have no trouble showing up right out of the bottle. No need to overcomplicate it here, just a few good swirls in your glass should do it.
The correct serving temperature is important to show a wine’s true potential, but don’t stress over getting the temp exactly right. Use the chart below to try to get in the right ballpark.
If a wine has been released by the producer, it means it is ready to drink. Wines don’t necessarily get “better” with age, they just change. Typically, this change involves things like losing fresh fruit flavors in exchange for more savory notes.
The moment you should open the bottle depends on your preference, so it’s more important to understand the evolution and the life span of the bottle than it is to try to time its opening perfectly. (It’s far better to open a bottle too early than too late.)

Development
Stinson Vineyards is a family and winemaker-owned estate winery in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains specializing in small lot, garagiste wines with a distinct French influence.
The father/daughter team of Scott Stinson and Rachel Stinson Vrooman was joined by Rachel’s husband Nathan Vrooman in 2015. They take inspiration from “garagiste” wineries of France, in both their winemaking techniques and the winery itself, which is built into an old three car garage.
The wines of Stinson Vineyards are enjoying growing critical acclaim, and the winery near Charlottesville has become a visitor destination for its fine wines, stunning views, and excellent hospitality.
