Stinson 2025 Sauvignon Blanc
Fermented in a combination of concrete and stainless steel, the focus of this wine is on its bright, fresh fruit flavors. It is 100% Estate fruit, and designed to be enjoyed young.
Light cheeses, raw bar (oysters, ceviche).
Bright acidity allows this wine to be a wonderful pairing partner to a number of cheeses (especially goat cheeses), salads, and shellfish.
The key here is to either match the wine’s acidity, like with a lemon based dressing for a salad, or contrast it with the richness of something like crab or lobster.
It’s also going to be a perfect companion to almost anything at a raw bar, specifically oysters and ceviches where each will help bring out the fruit notes of this wine.
STANDOUT FEATURES: High acidity, light body, ripe citrus notes.
Anything too rich, especially thick sauces, might start to overpower this wine.

The correct serving temperature is important to show a wine’s true potential, but don’t stress over getting the temp exactly right. Use the chart below to try to get in the right ballpark.
If a wine has been released by the producer, it means it is ready to drink. Wines don’t necessarily get “better” with age, they just change. Typically, this change involves things like losing fresh fruit flavors in exchange for more savory notes.
The moment you should open the bottle depends on your preference, so it’s more important to understand the evolution and the life span of the bottle than it is to try to time its opening perfectly. (It’s far better to open a bottle too early than too late.)

Stinson Vineyards is a family and winemaker-owned estate winery in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains specializing in small lot, garagiste wines with a distinct French influence.
The father/daughter team of Scott Stinson and Rachel Stinson Vrooman was joined by Rachel’s husband Nathan Vrooman in 2015. They take inspiration from “garagiste” wineries of France, in both their winemaking techniques and the winery itself, which is built into an old three car garage.
The wines of Stinson Vineyards are enjoying growing critical acclaim, and the winery near Charlottesville has become a visitor destination for its fine wines, stunning views, and excellent hospitality.
